Diet Matters

Classical Homeopaths don't typically recommend diets. Why do I recommend them?

I believe everyone should eat a well-balanced, nutritious diet to promote optimal health. However, there are specific dietary guidelines used during Gemmotherapy protocols that are customized for individual needs. They are not meant to dictate a way everyone should eat, or imply that one should eat this way forever.

A simplified food combining program, adjusted to suit each individual, is at the core of the dietary guidelines. The guidelines assist and hasten the body's healing in response to Gemmotherapy.

Gemmotherapy allows for deep detoxification and rejuvenation of organs at the cellular level. Gemmotherapy protocols are crafted from indications found in a client's blood tests, which are determined and reviewed with the aid of a consulting physician.

For a Gemmotherapy program directed toward the pancreas, one might be asked to restrict fruit consumption to bananas and pink grapefruit. These fruits can be digested with little or no help from the pancreas, allowing the pancreas to rest during the time of healing. In the case of a program directed toward the colon, wheat is usually restricted from the diet because it can be particularly difficult for the colon to process. Lessening strain on the colon during this type of Gemmotherapy program maximizes the effect of the Gemmotherapy.

These are examples of how the dietary guidelines are tailored to meet individual needs. Very few people will have the same guidelines. Other articles posted in this blog are in keeping with general dietary guidelines, and do not reflect a specific protocol for any one person.

Give yourself a break from stressful foods-- let your body heal!
